Sooo , 2 or 3 weeks ago my isp installed a new internet connection in home however i've seen lag spikes , in between 40-300 ms when ping directly to the router (Only via WI-FI) The main reason which im consern is because in my friend's home there is the exact same model and there is no latency whatsoever , there is something i can do by myself before asking My ISP to come again, as far a I know the only thing they did was swiching the wifi channel which kinda worked lagspikes are know between 20-45 ms but there is still a lot of them . Thanks in forehand , sorry for my shitty english and my router is a ZTE ZXHN F660

Would you like to try another Wi-Fi channel?

The issue isn't with your ISP modem; it's related to the Wi-Fi connection. Probably due to distance or interference.

It might be a disturbance, but I doubt it. I’m probably right next to the router.

You must obtain a Wi-Fi channel analyzer for your smartphone to identify the optimal frequency. Only non-overlapping channels in the 2.4GHz range—specifically 1, 6, and 11—should be utilized.

Could the issue stem from outdated drivers on your computer? Even if it's near the router, interference might still be present. Edit: as mentioned, consider switching to a less crowded channel—sometimes that helps. (It did work the first time you tried.)

I changed it from 6 to 1, there was just one other Wi-Fi on that channel. I’ll run some tests and get back to you shortly.

Lagspikes remain present. It's not necessarily a cause for concern unless they're frequent or severe.

It's worth noting that your position matters. Using Wi-Fi instead of a direct connection near the router could pose some risks.

Certainly, I'll keep using the Ethernet cable. Thank you for your time.
