Delay in everything
I frequently experience lag and stuttering in 3D games or any content on my PC. My system can be found at https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Magkill3/s...iew=JVqV3C I checked if the GPU was the issue and replaced it, but the problem persisted. My PC isn<|pad|>'s not overclocked and all voltage settings seem correct. My main suspicion is RAM errors, especially since I rely heavily on Blender with 16 gigabytes constantly used for baking and animation. Another possibility is a hard drive loading issue. In GTA, the loading screen stuttered and made background noise similar to a sound chip. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
It could be unrelated to hardware and likely tied to software configuration. Let's review a few settings to ensure everything is correct. (Verify Nvida options and remember to always disable Vsync or Triple Buffering.) You can adjust global settings so all applications work consistently. Also confirm the Quality level is set to Quality. If you still experience significant lag, try switching to Performance mode—this usually reduces stutter without affecting visual quality. First thing to check: is the operating system installed on the SSD? If yes, determine whether it uses GPT or MBR partitioning. For GPT systems, inspect your page file via Advanced System Settings to see if it's customized or managed by the OS.
I noticed a possible bottleneck from an improperly configured page file, which resolved the issue. For RAM, it's fine—Cas9 is solid. You should enable XMP profiles in the motherboard BIOS.
Lastly, consider using a voltage monitor. Test your system under heavy loads (e.g., Crysis 3 or Battlefield 4) to see if the GPU throttling is the main cause. If needed, upgrade your power supply since it may not meet the required capacity. Not implying the PSU is faulty, just that it needs more power in its capacitors.
Summary: Likely PSU or page file configuration is the root cause.
I attempted to resolve the issue and didn’t see any improvements. I changed my 780ti to a 760, but the power delivery wasn’t the problem. The setup didn’t alter the page file—it’s still the default. Same with the SSD; it’s only used for OS boot and a few files. The WD HDD holds GTA 5 and other games, so I’m considering RAM as the culprit. Heavy rendering could be straining it. The HDD is nearly full, and many system components are occupied. Another concern is that my OS won’t let me install or run any apps, like when I tried to install Avast and it crashed.
I got some bad news bears man, I forgot your CPU was the one I was just looking at on another topic. Here's your problem, and its further explained here. I'm sorry its not good news
