You want to enable unsupported hardware for GPU acceleration in CST Microwave Studio 2019. You’ve reached the environment variable editing screen but aren’t sure how to proceed. The setting you mentioned is `CST_HWACC_ALLOW_UNVERIFIED_HARDWARE = 1`. To apply this, you’ll need to add it to your system’s configuration file—typically `~/.bashrc` or `~/.zshrc` depending on your shell. After saving the changes, reload your session (e.g., with `source ~/.bashrc`) to ensure the new setting takes effect. No extra software is required beyond editing the appropriate file.

You need to configure the environment variable. Follow these steps: first decide between option 1 or 2 based on which users should access it. I would simply use system (option 2).

You mentioned having the environment variables ready—window open, so simply click the "New.." button. Enter the variable name, such as CST_HWACC_ALLOW_UNVERIFIED_HARDWARE, and set it to 1. It doesn't matter if you use your personal variables or system-wide ones.

It was indeed straightforward. I’m feeling a little like a doughnut now, haha. Thanks everyone, just reduced the simulation time from around 15 hours to 4 hours!
