Defective cpu or what?
I improved my setup with a Ryzen 5 2600, B450 Aorus Elite and 16 GB 3000MHz RAM. From the start I experienced random freezes when the CPU was under stress, but temperatures stayed ideal (never exceeding 60°C). After extensive troubleshooting, I discovered that setting the voltage to 1.15V, using Ryzen Master and locking all cores to 3.40 GHz resolved the issue. My concern was whether the problem was with the CPU itself or if there was something missing. Did anyone else encounter this issue?
Check the BIOS settings for RAM configuration. Ensure it's set to XMP 3000 and specify the exact RAM model. Verify compatibility with your Ryzen processor.
If you turn off XMP, the system won't apply custom color profiles during printing, which can affect print quality. This might cause issues when optimizing prints, especially with newer processors like Ryzen.
Ryzen often faces issues with SK Hynix, but my LPX board uses Nanya Technologies chips. Could you open CPU-Z and tell us the details for SPD #2 and #4? Also, please make sure your RAM is installed in those slots.
