9060xt doesn't function properly after driver installation. Reinstalling and even reverting to previous drivers causes the monitor to turn black during startup. The issue persists in Safe Mode and BIOS settings, appearing randomly in Windows or occasionally when booting. After a crash, the display driver fails to load, triggering an AMD bug report indicating a failure. I've tried various adjustments, including modifying BIOS settings and deleting drivers via DDU. The only workaround was swapping my card with a 3060 from another build. This current build is new, and no changes have been made. When using the 9060xt in another build, the same problem arises. I'm considering flashing the VBIOS, but it might void the warranty.

Additionally, various unusual occurrences may take place such as; during login the screen will become blurred with the desktop image (freezing), and my background might turn completely black or display a black border, but when I hover the mouse over it and highlight it, it will return to its original state.

What model of GPU are you using? What power source is being used? Is the card connected via a single port or multiple connectors? Are there separate cables for each port? Regarding the motherboard, what BIOS version is installed? Have you updated the BIOS on your motherboard? Why are you attempting to flash the GPU's VBIOS and void the warranty? Typically, motherboards are designed to flash BIOS updates automatically. The GPU generally doesn't require such updates unless it's faulty. If the GPU isn't intended for modification and is defective, you should follow the warranty or return procedures.

Hello, the GPU is the 9060xt Swift. I'm using it with a 6+2 pin power supply, but the PSU cables have two 6+2 pins connected together on one cable, while I only use one. On my other PC's PCIe slot, the GPU still doesn't work even with just one cable. My motherboard BIOS is the latest version (non-beta). I don’t plan to flash the GPU BIOS, just curious if that would fix the problem. Also, I wasn’t aware it could void the warranty, which is why I reached out. Thank you for your time—I’ve opened a ticket with XFX to check if they have any solutions, and if not, I’ll proceed with an RMA.

You're even considering going near the vbios? I wouldn't.

This situation is concerning. If I were a company with a PC component under warranty and someone expected me to replace it, I’d consider not covering the part because I’m unsure if the claimant altered it, leading to their own problems. Now I’d be worried about being denied warranty claims due to unintended modifications.

Be very careful when you mention this—it could give them grounds to question your GPU if you try to return it for a warranty claim. The more details you provide, the better.

If you return it for warranty, avoid discussing flashing or any other changes. If they press about it, firmly state you didn’t do anything like that.

I understand. Thanks for the note, I wasn't aware that was actually the case.

Don’t worry, just keep in mind I’m actually in IT. I’ve spent almost 20 years working with computers and fixing PCs. If I were there, I’d see things differently.
