Hello, I have an Intel 10900 with an Asus Hero Maximus XII. The memory modules I own are DDR4 2x8GB and 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance models, all sharing the same timings of 18-22-22-42 and a 1.35V supply. The only variation is that the 8GB sticks are version 3.31 while the 16GB are version 4.32. I thought using identical sticks would suffice but needed an upgrade from 16GB to 32GB since they have different versions. I attempted XMP and XMP II profiles, but the system would enter safe mode when I increased the speed to 3600 MHz. Any advice on next steps?

They might use various memory chips that don't work together. Run Thaiphoon Burner, it will show which chips are present on each device. Then share some screenshots.

V4.32 is Samsung C die and sometimes it causes compatibility problems with itself. It's frustrating, particularly when mixing memory types—I'm pretty sure my grey hair has doubled since I started dealing with this. Giving up on 3600MHz seems like a good idea. Try turning on XMP first, then set the frequency to 3200MHz before powering on, and gradually increase until it stops booting. Once you identify the highest stable frequency, run a memory stress test to confirm stability.

Consider changing the memory controller voltage. Set VCCSA around 1.3V, keeping it below 1.4V for regular use.

I utilized XMP II to achieve 3466 MHz and configured VCCSA to 1.35V already. Apologies, it's been a while—I've been occupied with daily tasks and needed to use default settings temporarily.
