I believe the problem is more related to the BIOS rather than the driver. The driver might behave strangely when the iGPU appears unexpectedly because the developers didn’t plan for it to emerge suddenly. Still, I remain convinced the BIOS is at the root of the main issue.

I see the issue from another angle, likely related to Windows drivers. Most users can simply turn off iGPU and run the PC with a GPU installed without noticing. When you mention it "defaults" to the iGPU, what experience are you having? Are you noticing performance drops when it's set to use the iGPU? If you check Task Manager, does the GPU appear idle while the iGPU handles all tasks? If games run poorly, do you see both GPUs listed in Task Manager? You might want to review your power settings—Windows can switch between GPUs based on power plans. In Game Mode, if you see a dropdown for GPU selection, try selecting the high-performance option. If this helps, it suggests a strange priority setting in Windows. You could also reset everything by clearing recent changes, reinstalling the driver, and booting from a clean installation. Consider downloading the latest GPU drivers and disabling internet access before running DDU in Safe Mode to troubleshoot further.

I’m starting to accept this perspective too. The problem has been consistent for three days in a row. Although I thought I’d noticed the integrated graphics before, they’re still not visible—dGPU remains active but the integrated feature isn’t showing. My checks in HWINFO64 and MSI Afterburner confirm the 7900 XT is set as the default GPU. It seems the issue disappears right after uninstalling the driver. I suspect a driver-related problem rather than a BIOS one. I also spotted Microsoft Basic Render Driver in Device Manager, which suggests Adrenalin isn’t loading correctly. I reverted the driver recently to test, but only changed it a few months ago. I’ll try the July version next. Any other possibilities? The issue appears only at startup and seems random. It makes the system almost unusable when it happens—I have to remove and reinstall drivers before anything works properly. Also, only one monitor functions during this event (I’m using triple monitors), while everything else works fine.
