Someone plans to use Deepfake Live for a scam video call. I need advice from someone familiar with how it works. My basic idea is that it uses a face filter linked to the actual face, so if the face is covered, the filter won’t work. I’ve seen people wearing sunglasses and still using the filter, so I’m not sure that’s the right approach. Any suggestions? I need to stop this scammer.

Today's deepfakes are created by AI systems, which then produce images so realistic they are almost impossible to tell apart from the original. To identify these fakes, you need another AI capable of spotting the alterations. The method depends on the software being used. With basic face filters, some obvious mistakes make it easier to detect the fakes. However, when trained AI models are involved, catching them becomes much more challenging. I recommend watching this informational video about deepfakes and learning how current AI technology handles such issues:

With a better grasp, you might be able to address the problem effectively.

My prediction is that it's a basic facial filter, likely used with the DeepFake Live tool. This method appears to be favored by fraudsters. In this case, the most effective approach might be to prompt the generated content to turn its head at the point where distortion will begin, or to partially cover their face to disrupt synchronization.
