You're considering purchasing the Index VR, but you haven't thought about buying it yet or might hesitate due to certain considerations. You're evaluating whether there are any overlooked reasons that could influence your decision.

We lack insight into your thoughts, so how can we confirm you're not merely reflecting our perspectives?

I understand that the black levels aren't as strong compared to other choices and the cost is high, but these are the main concerns I've heard. If you know of any other significant problems, please let me know!

What specifications does your PC have?
Which games do you enjoy playing the most?
Are you planning to bring it to someone else's home?
How much are you willing to spend? (this isn't a major concern if you're browsing the list)
Each VR headset on the market offers unique advantages and disadvantages depending on your answers.
The index is ideal for those with high-end systems who want immersive experiences that rely on precise tracking in a dedicated VR environment.
If you mainly play flight or racing simulations, or intend to use it at friends' houses, other options might be more suitable.

I'm currently using the Razer Blade 15 Advanced (i7-9750H, 2070 max-q, 16gb ddr4), but I'm also constructing a PC with a 2080 ti.
I'll be playing a variety of games, starting with a few titles like Beat Saber and Superhot.
I might occasionally bring the headset along, though it would rarely be needed.
I plan to accept almost any price as long as the specifications align.

Your top choice will likely be the Index in that situation.
Ensure your laptop has a displayport or Mini DP port with an adapter to match the full size.

I have a Thunderbolt 3 port and a tb3 adapter for Display Port 1.4.
Great tip! I should give it a shot.
