Checking available choices for CPUs again, I’ve faced some issues with cooler compatibility. The models I’m considering are i5-12600K, Ryzen 7 5700X, and Ryzen 5 5800X. Among these, the 12600K seems to be the top performer, though its newness means few coolers fit its socket. Have anyone used this CPU before? What cooler did they choose, or do you have any recommendations?

It hasn't changed much over the past year. Some coolers lack mounting parts yet, but they're not common. This chip performs well—used it in a friend's project with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 that came pre-attached. It remains stocked from the 80s even when run through Prime95 Small FFTs.

You can get the mounting bracket for LGA 1700 even without the cooler, and it’s simple to do.

Alternatively, you can use zip ties if you don’t have or buy an AIO without 1700 support. Aircoolers could also work, though I’d skip them since a fall on the GPU would be a problem.
