Hi, I own a MacBook Pro from early 2011 and have two gaming PCs. I’m thinking about switching to Windows for better travel gaming, but I just bought a Samsung 840 EVO 512GB. I’m unsure if I should go all in on Windows now or wait. Steam games are my main focus—any suggestions?

It depends entirely on you, and you won't be playing much games on that old MacBook, Windows, or anything else.

You can install a dual boot setup via Bootcamp, and it's quite straightforward—it even fetches the latest drivers automatically. It's a good idea to retain an OSX partition on your device just in case you require it later. While there might be a method to combine OSX, Linux, and Windows using Bootcamp, it's not necessary to follow it.
