You're just starting out with building your PC, but now you're diving into BIOS updates. It's worth it if you want to keep your system secure and up-to-date. Your current BIOS is from 2022, while the latest version available is from 2023. Checking for updates can improve performance and fix potential issues. Since your PC is running smoothly now, you might not need to change it right away. However, staying informed about updates helps protect against future problems.

I tested the BIOS launch with my 7700x for nearly a year before switching to my ASUS B650 TUF. No noticeable changes were seen. Updating isn’t harmful and may boost performance slightly. The process finishes in under five minutes.

reduced memory checks and quicker startup times. The BIOS upgrades enhance AEGIS performance. That could be beneficial.

Yeah, I didn’t think about faster startup speeds. I usually leave my PC on until it’s time to use it again, like I did in early May.

I've repeatedly tested the X670E board during its early days. I enjoy experimenting to discover what fails and what gets better. This approach is only applicable to a casual setup, of course.

I'm preparing to try my first build using the same motherboard and 7800X3D CPU. Do you know how to check the BIOS version inside it, or should I update it before installing everything?

Start the system and verify. If not, there’s nothing solid to work with. You can use a flashback if needed, but I always run it during setup. This is standard across all my devices.

I'm mainly concerned it won't start without an update, as PCPP mentioned, but I think the issue should be fixed now.
