Booted the X99 system with a 5820K on a Gigabyte SOC Champion board and discovered it wasn't working. The fan spun briefly, displayed debug code 60, then shut down. Checked the debug codes and saw DXE Core started, which didn’t point to a clear issue. Tried swapping RAM, re-seating the CPU and GPU, but the problem persisted. Anyone have any advice?

Use just one RAM slot for the CMOS setup only.

I've already attempted that. The motherboard supports dual BIOS settings, so I changed to the backup one but still couldn't boot properly.

I also attempted to start the system without any RAM installed to check for a NO RAM error, but it still displays the 60-DXE core started message. This could suggest an issue with the CPU rather than just memory problems.

I'm bringing this back up since I'm facing the same issue you did. Have you discovered a fix?

I checked the necro pattern with my Asus X99-E using USB3.1 and got Q code 60 after work on Friday. I tried all the online suggestions over the weekend, except for alternative CPUs/MB that aren’t available to me. My plan was to upgrade this 2016 system later in the year, but not sooner. Could you help determine if the issue lies with the CPU or MBB?
