I resolved the CMOS issue on my MSPI B550 gaming edge Wi-Fi after fixing previous problems, though this caused an unexpected CPU detection via the Ez debug LED on the motherboard. Others suggest my current problem could stem from the reset setting the CPU/MBOO to the default graphics mode, even though neither has built-in graphics. On my R5 3600, there are no bent pins or stuck components, so I worry the CPU might be damaged. Possible solutions include checking BIOS settings, testing with a different power supply, or consulting a professional repair.
Remove RAM. Wipe CMOS using battery removal and power cycle. Install only one stick of RAM in the A2 slot.
Disconnect the power supply and remove the battery. Perform a power cycle by holding the front power button without a battery and the PSU off for 10 seconds. Reconnect the battery, reinstall the RAM (just one stick), then power the PSU back on.
When I reinstall RAM, I need to place the stick in the correct slot.
Optimal settings include 1 stick A2, 2 sticks A2, b2, 4 sticks A1, a2, b1, b2. Which ones matched? Starting from the left near the CPU. The first one is A1, so it's A1 a2 b1 b2. CPU LED doesn't always confirm this.
The system starts up but the LEDs indicate your M.2 slot isn't recognized. Can you try adjusting BIOS settings or reseating the M.2 drive?
Have you confirmed all RAM is installed? Regarding the M.2 slot, is the VGA debug indicator active? What type of M.2 drive do you have? Is it the one with Windows installed on it?
