That's a GPU, not a CPU. Launch Task Manager (Windows), go to the Performance tab, and you'll see CPU details. For Ubuntu, run the command in terminal: cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep 'name'| uniq. Intel seems to have fewer BIOS problems compared to Ryzen, and you can verify supported CPUs via the official support page.
he isn't even able to upload... @sammoss05 I suggest resetting the CMOS by turning off the PC, shutting down the power source (the O side should be off, not the | side), remove the button battery from the motherboard, press and hold the power button for ten seconds, then reinsert it, restart the power supply, and finally turn on the computer. If this doesn't help, try rearranging or changing the RAM modules to identify any faulty ones. The CPU LED might indicate a dead processor or memory issues.
My computer is still showing the display. I attempted to reset the CMOS, but I'm not sure if I did it correctly or not. I also tried resetting the CPU, which is an Intel Core i5-6600K, but it didn't help.
That's excellent news. Just turn off all devices, take out the CMOS battery for a short time, then plug it back in. That should work perfectly.
