I was considering enhancing my i5 7500 setup for a while and stumbled upon a compelling offer (prices might vary in Turkey). A Ryzen 9 3900 plus GIGABYTE B450M S2H and Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO were listed at 4000₺ (about 545$). The seller assures everything is in good working order and all components come with warranties. I also have a 1050ti running alongside, with two 8GB Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz RAM sticks, a 600W PSU, and an Ax1500 cooling solution. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on upgrading the motherboard after this purchase.

This board isn't designed for a 3900x and may slow down the CPU unless you provide extra cooling. Do you require a 3900x? What is the nature of your tasks?

I focus on playing games on this machine, mainly CPU-heavy titles. I believe I don’t require a 3900x and I’m not looking for a cheap fix that will need replacing soon. I’m considering changing the motherboard—any suggestions?

It’s sufficient with 3600 units and it works just as well. Games don’t increase to 12 cores, so upgrading the GPU would help more. What’s your budget looking like?

My budget is about 1500$, 3600 might be sufficient if I was just playing but I was also planning to host some games (hoi4). I’m not sure how many cores it will need, but I’m certain my current CPU can’t handle it—just that’s what I know about hosting a server.

you could wait for zen 3 and ampere and big navi and check what it has to offer.

I was expecting that upgrade, but my existing CPU is causing me some frustration. I'm wondering if the new GPU would really make a big difference for me?

If leaks are the only concern, it looks quite encouraging.

I'm moving quickly since the Turkish lira isn't stable, and I receive payments in USD so I can take advantage of it now. However, in a few months it might start to steady up again.
