Dead Space
Dead Space
Dead Space the initial version costs 8 dollars at GOG.com: https://www.gog.com/en/game/dead_space Dead Space 2 is priced at 20 on Steam... consider purchasing later during promotions. Dead Space 3 isn't as strong, so you might want to hold off. It should function properly on Windows 11.
EA is the publisher, so naturally you can find it in the EA Store. Besides that, Steam also offers the titles. The Epic Games Store carries Dead Space 1, 2, 3, plus the remake as well. DS3 works too—it offers strong upgrade and crafting systems and a solid gameplay experience. It leans more toward action compared to the earlier entries, though I didn’t think that diminished the horror feel much. Plus, it supports good co-op play. The downside of DS3 is the DLC Awakened… It’s short (under two hours), priced similarly to the base game ($2.50 on sale), and without it you miss a satisfying ending. The DLC ending isn’t impressive, but it’s better than the cliffhanger you’d face if you skip it after DS3. P.S. Dead Space 1 is quite dated… think about the 2023 remake instead—it’s decent.
Sure, I'll grab the DS 1 remake from the epic game store for you.
The early versions of DS1 and 2 faced problems maintaining 60fps on PC. Adjusting VSync might help, or you could encounter unusual behavior. The updated DS1 works well. Don’t overlook DS3. Try not to play all three consecutively—play 1 and 2 first, then wait before starting 3. I revisited DS3 and really enjoyed it; it’s just a slightly different experience.
