I just began playing Dead Space 2 on Steam, and upon visiting the first shop, I noticed all the DLC content was already unlocked. This wouldn’t be an issue because these items are free, but it diminishes the game’s value when you start with fully unlocked weapons and multiple armor tiers. There’s a known solution: join EA in Origins and download the game from there, as the Steam version includes the DLC via download. That’s the only alternative besides signing up for a subscription. No other tricks beyond that?
I know,I know, it's just that since EA kinda ruined so many smaller studios that signing up with them, IDK, feels like I'm giving away all my information for them to use as they like. Then again, Steam probably does the same, but not as obvious. That and the obvious EA cash grag issue (All their sports franchise anyone?)
I expanded my gaming list to include uplay, Origin, and GOG since I found great discounts on titles available only there.
