It looks like you found some advice on Reddit about using just one of the two A slots or the other B slot. Thanks for sharing! I'll update the setup accordingly.
It's actually the opposite of what you think. For optimal results, use each item only once. This might relate to an older setup where memory layouts and labels were different, making the advice valid or simply lacking knowledge. Avoid repeating items; start with slots A2 and B2. The board should display labels there so it appears correctly (MSI boards will prompt at startup if they're not in the right slots). This didn't resolve the issue, but possibly another problem exists simultaneously.
Code C5 is active now. There are suggestions to revert the BIOS. I’ll check each slot to find another option.
No response from A2 slot, also tested another RAM module. Possible bad MOBI. Update: Returned to B1&B2, functioning correctly without EXPO enabled.
For anyone encountering this problem on a comparable board, here are some possible fixes I discovered that could help. (Helped me personally). 1) Inspect pins for bending or dirt inside the socket. (I noticed a pin bent toward its neighbor on the right side. Looking at the top view revealed dirt and a broken pin. The socket was in poor shape.) 2) Remove the bracket/latch, reattach it carefully without over-tightening. Stop when you feel resistance. Using just two fingers while holding the screwdriver gave a good sense of force. Don’t push too hard—just add an extra finger if needed. ALSO, use the diagonal method for screws. 3) Repeat the same steps for the cooler. If possible, hand-tighten first. I’m using a thermalright P120SE, so applied the same screwdriver technique, tightening firmly. 4) Clean the ram sockets just in case. 5) I’m running BIOS version 1807. Unfortunately, after several attempts with Bacardi and lemon sprite, I didn’t follow any steps systematically, so it’s hard to pinpoint which method succeeded. After going through all these actions, surprisingly, the board connected properly to the BIOS without problems. It’s currently set to EXPO II profile and functions well for me. If you have a similar configuration, feel free to try this approach.
