Looking for recommendations on RAM for a gaming PC? 9800x3d and MSI x870E Carbon MB are being considered. I'm planning on 32GB with 6000 CL30. I've checked MSI's online list but it seems like it would take a long time, so I'm open to other options. For instance, the Newegg listing at $320 looks promising and is available on MSI's site, though not the exact model. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Ensure compatibility is confirmed first. If a compatible kit isn't listed for your processor on the motherboard RAM QVL, visit a vendor's website and use their selection tool. You may not be aware of Vcolor. Choose a kit that is officially supported, as not all similar options function correctly. After that, you'll need to adjust the RAM specifications in the BIOS.

It doesn't appear to be a feasible approach to review 100 items one by one.

A better option than purchasing RAM that doesn't function correctly is to consider alternatives.

It was quite simple to locate the item. Visit the QVL list and employ the search feature to verify its presence on the list.

I visited the pcpartpicker site and found a limited selection of options. I wasn't confident about some specifications it requested for RAM. I need a part in the compatibility list from partpicker, specifically one labeled "Patriot Viper Venom," but it's unclear if it appears there since it's listed with part numbers. The compatibility categories at the top are 'Memory by,' '9xxx,' '8xxg,' and '7xxx.' What do these categories represent?

Since RAM is closely linked to the processor, focus solely on the 9xxx choices when your CPU is a 9800X3D.

Thank you for the clarification. It seems unclear about the 8XXG reference.

8xxg denotes the 8000g series.
