I'm setting up a PC with a Ryzen 5 7600, RTX 4070 and B650 Aorus Pro AX board. I'm facing problems with Kingston Fury Renegade DDR5 RAM sticks (KF560C32RSK2-32) 2x16GB, 6000MT/s CL32-38-38-80. The listed capacity is 1.35GB, but it appears on the Gigabyte site. I have the latest BIOS (F8a). The system runs smoothly at 4800Mhz, but it fails to recognize when I enable XMP profiles or set frequencies like 5600 with timings such as 42-46-46-99 1.4v. The DRAM light keeps flashing red. Could anyone with similar setups help? I'm using Windows 11 and haven't encountered any discussions about AORUS PRO AX yet.

I understand this could appear as a simple question but it's actually quite interesting. You're referring to the RAM slots 2 and 4, counting backward from the CPU, right? This isn't a criticism of your building abilities—it's just a minor oversight that can occur.

I’d immediately start replacing the RAM modules. DDR5 demands precise pressure, and if you’re outside the recommended range it won’t maintain stability beyond JEDEC standards. In practice, applying too much force can be risky, so it’s better to apply more pressure rather than less. However, you should experiment since results can differ depending on the board and only three DDR5 boards are in your experience.

I placed the modules in slots 2 and B2 correctly. I also tested them separately with B2 and A2. I’m pretty sure I pushed everything to the end. I’m confused about whether to get a new RAM kit or a MOBO. I’m unsure if I should look for EXPO RAMs since it seems more convincing to use AMD technology with an AMD system. I’ve heard some unusual information about it, so I’m trying to avoid it. Additionally, I can’t even overclock these sticks to 5000Mhz (+200).

Double verifying is important here. The XMP settings often fail after swapping DIMMs during bench tests. From my observations, EXPO seems more reliable since many AMD boards misinterpret XMP after changes. It’s possible the situation has improved since the latest AGESA release, but given similar pricing, I’d still recommend an EXPO kit unless you’re comfortable manually adjusting the RAM. Besides re-seating the DIMMs, inspecting the socket for bent pins could help avoid memory problems. Rolling back to an older BIOS might be worth trying, especially if you suspect Gigabyte introduced issues with the new 1.0.0.7b AGESA firmware. If you can’t boot at 200MHz on any DIMMs in any slot, a BIOS problem is likely the cause—most issues tend to appear on a single channel or stick rather than across the board.

This might imply it should function better, though it isn’t quite enough. There’s also a note saying "Higher memory speeds may cause longer memory training time on the first boot." I’m unsure if there’s any indication of issues on the screen, as I’m seeing a black screen. After waiting over 15 minutes multiple times, it seems possible the delay is intentional. The fix might involve waiting. Should I consider this worthwhile? Or should I look for another memory, like an AMD EXPO or a MOBO such as ASUS B650-e?

It features an AMD EXPO, but boosting it to 200MHz over JEDEC doesn’t trigger a video output on the PC. The motherboard’s DRAM indicator stays red. I’m considering returning the motherboard and purchasing a different MSI board, such as the MPG B650 CARBON WIFI.

I’m considering returning the motherboard and purchasing a different MSI board, such as the MPG B650 CARBON WIFI.
