So I've purchased my new build and waiting on a couple more pieces. The only thing im un-easy about is the ram i bought. I purchased https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-32gb/p/N82...6820374427 DDR5 because it was on sale and within budget (everything i purchased was on sale) but it appears it is tailored towards the "EXPO" profile from AMD and does not mention compatibility with XMP. I figured it must work with XMP as it should be backwards compatible. However, i wonder if for some reason this might not run as efficiently and maybe i'll need to manually tweak my ram to get the overclocked 6000mt. If that's the case, i wonder if there might be stability/efficiency issues if these sticks dont run off an XMP profile? They do have the same sticks that specifically states XMP compatibility. Im pretty new to building but can usually figure things out. this one has me stumped though. Do i need to buy some new RAM to get the most out of it? BUILD: MSI B760 gaming +wireless (DDR5) i5-13600kf rtx 4070 MSI spatium m461 2tb nmve air cooler (PS) Corsair 4000D case (+extra fans) Cheers

It's mainly a promotional tactic—people from AMD CPU users also choose Intel XMP certified RAM and it functions fine.

EXPO represents a fresh standard allowing XMP and EXPO profiles to run independently on memory chips with distinct timing options. G.Skill’s Trident Z5 Neo line typically offers only EXPO profiles, requiring the board to support reading them. I’ve observed BIOS screenshots showing EXPO available on some Intel models, indicating it should work. The key difference lies in its expanded capabilities beyond just a single approach.
