Hello, I hope you can help me figure out where the problem might be. I'm using a G.SKill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB DDR5 6000 CL30 with an AMD EXPO CPU and an ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-E motherboard. The SSD is Kingston KC3000 M.2 2TB. When I installed two 16GB RAM sticks, it worked perfectly. But now I'm trying four 16GB sticks and got a C5 error on the board. I was wondering if lowering the RAM speed to around 4.8k MHz would fix it. Or which option is best for resolving this issue? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Whell, the issue is clear. 4x16GB doesn’t always fit DDR5 reliably and isn’t dependable out of the box. It might function, but you’ll likely need to tweak BIOS versions, adjust IMC voltages, and fine-tune termination settings. For a 64GB requirement, bring both kits together and opt for a 2x32GB package. If you don’t need that size, use just one 2x16GB kit.

It varies a lot depending on what he means. Have you made sure to install the latest BIOS? I'm using a 4x16GB G card with Skill Flare X5 6000CL36. I'm not sure if the slight differences in CAS Latency really affect things. My system started up fine and has been steady, but it's uncertain. Each BIOS update seems to help a bit.

Kinda, but not really. As long as the memory chip is the same across both sticks, it should just work, and since the CL36 and CL30 kits have different memory chips on average, it can technically make a difference. That said, both of the Hynix dies (what's present on the 6000 CL30 bin) have had reported cases of it just working no issues like your Samsung based DIMMs, so it really shouldn't matter. From what I can tell, it goes from easy to not easy every other BIOS revision on AM5. There are people who have had 4x16GB work out of the box on the launch BIOSes at 6400MT/s (IgorsLab had a tuning guide with a mixed memory setup working at 6400 posted about a week after AM5 released), and there are a few BIOSes around the 1.0.0.7b AGESA where 4x16GB won't even boot.

I used my 2x32GB Trident 6000C30 drives at 6000MT without problems until the newest Asus BIOS for Strix X670E-E. Now I can only get up to 5600MT. @Kuchta suggest lowering first to 5600, then 5200. If that doesn’t work, disable XMP and run at 4800—should be fine.
