Hey everyone, what do you think about DDR5 arriving in Mobos in 2018? Will you hold off on your new build until it becomes a reality? It's said to offer double the speed of DDR4, which could really impact some users... I'm just wondering what others are thinking. Thanks!

New mobo, new cpu, new ram, too much to wait imo for an extra 1fps increase

It seems unlikely, as DDR4 is still very recent. That’s why it feels surprising they’d release it so soon.

Sure, carbon nanotubes are expected to become available to the public in 2015 through 2018.

It seems we're focusing on ongoing testing and planning for announcements in 2018. DDR3 dominated RAM usage for roughly six years.

DDR5 won't be available as a tangible product until the late 2010s or early 2020s.

After the transition from DDR3 to DDR4 didn’t improve game performance, my forecast suggests this pattern will persist.

Who actually checks the content? Sorry, I should have understood the whole piece... But it's still impressive—almost double speed. Just think about Moore's Law.
