considered switching from my 10105f to a 13600kf setup. now deciding on the motherboard. if i pick a board with DDR5, i’ll need those chips. but if i opt for DDR4, i can keep my existing 4000mhz RAM (which is already boosted to 4400) and even reach up to 4800mhz without issues. there’s a big difference between DDR4 and DDR5 speeds—like 4800 vs 7200—so it really matters for performance.

Ensure you have DDR4 memory installed, and if your CPU isn't limiting performance (like a 4080 with 13600K at 1080p), the upgrade won't matter. For reference, test systems using a 14900K and 4090.

They were thinking about purchasing a mid-range Arc Battlemage GPU when it launched, so it seems unlikely they'll face limitations at 1080p.

Do you have an online store for purchasing components? Which country are you located in? A Z790 UD from Gigabyte might be suitable.

Unclear about the 4400MHz RAM with a 10105f, since the CPU is much less powerful than expected for such high-speed memory. Still, you're generally correct. In this configuration, DDR5 offers no advantage if you need to replace the RAM later.

It looks like you're considering a deal. Would you like to explore more options or finalize this purchase?

It seems like you're trying to say something about a tool or method working, but it's a bit unclear. Could you clarify what you mean?

Really impressive, but it was tough to hit 2933 on that old 10100F.

It seems your memory was set to 4000MHz XMP and adjusting the voltage to 1.45V resolved the issue.
