ECC requires more processing power. Regular single-rank memory typically uses 64-bit buses, whereas ECC demands 72 bits. I’d really like to see that difference.

I have less experience with ECC, which can be challenging because not every board supports it... (and I’m also excluding Intel completely for laughs)

That makes sense, it's quite funny that AMD was the only one offering ECC support on consumer boards.

Since it's the kind of motherboard that likes two sticks over four, the maximum speed of the sticks in 1 and 3 will drop significantly.
