I possess a RAM package rated for 3000MHz from Corsair. Running the system at 2800MHz works fine without any problems, but when I adjust the RAM speed to 3000MHz or above in BIOS, the PC fails to power on initially. The CPU indicator lights up on the motherboard, yet after a reboot it starts normally and operates at the desired speed. I’m seeking a fix to ensure the PC boots correctly at 3000MHz without issues. Parts List: CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 3600, GPU – Nvidia GTX 1060 (6GB), SSD – WDC WDS500G2B0B 500GB, RAM – Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 C15 2x8GB, MBD – MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX, PSU – CoolerMaster Masterwatt 650.

No, I didn't use XMP or any other method to configure my RAM.

Ensure the system is updated to the newest motherboard BIOS if needed. Compatibility with older BIOS versions has been reliable, though they might encounter issues now.

I think using XMP was my initial PC setup. After checking, others recommend using the DRAM Calculator and setting the clock manually. Would you like me to suggest that? Also, does running RAM at the listed speed count as an overclock?

It seems I’m missing data from four sections as per the MSI report. One section showed improved memory compatibility. I’ll update later today; it’s always a concern about damaging a motherboard.

It isn't that, it's the speed the manufacturer set and confirmed. Many factors make it challenging...
