If using CL which is higher than my stable settings might cause instability. For instance, running 4000MHz at 20-20-20-40 works well, but it becomes unstable at 17-17-17-37. Just a question. Cheers

It should function, but you need to identify a range of timings that remain consistent—so for instance 20-20-20-40 wouldn't work, but 20-20-20-41 might.
