ddr32133 Ddr3 RAM (4x2) compatible with 1600 MHz supported motherboards ideal for performance enhancement
I have Biostar n68s3b motherboard which supports upto 1600 mhz Ram. With core clock increase( HT bus frequency), from 200 to 260 MHz, ram frequency reaches 1734 MHz, Memory ratio is 3.3x, CAS latency 9. Any higher and system crashes, possibly due to 1333 mhz ram. There also is Ram frequency tuning list, where memory is manually set to 1333 mhz. It can be set upto 1600 mhz. (If someone can explain how this works) Question being, should I buy 1600 mhz ram and overclock it? Or buy 2133 mhz Ram and set frequencies so it reaches around that mark. Will be motherboard support frequencies not listed in mb site, and what happens if I add 2 sticks of 8 gb each Ram will it show 16 gb, or will be not boot at all? Ty
