DDR3 RAM mixing process
Hello, I apologize for the unclear English. I’d like to include two more RAM sticks, but I’m not sure it will be possible. I’m currently using - Kingston Hyper X Blu 8 GB (2x4GB Modules) at 1600 MHz and I want to match it with this one: Kingston HyperX FURY 4GB 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Black (HX318C10FB/4) https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-F...B00J8E8Z06 There are no HyperX blu nearby and the FURY 1866 MHz is my only option. If I buy two 8GB Fury units it would cost around $85 here, so adding more RAM is much more affordable. My existing RAM: purchased seven years ago, so there’s no availability in stock. https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Modules-...B0057Q4ADU Motherboard: Gigabyte G1 Sniper m5 (z87)
You could save yourself the trouble and simply grab the Fury sticks, swapping out your current items for them.
It looks like you're expressing a strong sentiment. Let me know how I can assist further.
Your motherboard supports RAM speed adjustments (most do), and if you're capable, it's a viable choice.
