I just assembled my loop and performed a leak test after gently rocking the case to eliminate any remaining bubbles. It functioned properly initially, but then the pump ceased, and I'm struggling to restart it. Since I've never allowed it to run dry, I'm unsure what caused the issue.

We require additional details. Could you clarify how the pump is being powered? Was it operational during the PC startup and then stopped abruptly, or did it fail to start at boot? Have you explored using a different power supply or connection?

We require additional details if possible.
What method is being used to power the pump? Was it operational during the PC startup and then stopped abruptly, or did it fail to start at boot?
Have you experimented with a different power supply or connection?
I was using a molex power source with a single wire PWM connector on a controller to adjust speed. It operated for around 30 minutes before shutting down while the system was active. Could this be related to air bubbles entering the pump? I’ve been told excessive air is harmful.
Note: The unit is an Alphacool DDC 310.

There are no air bubbles. The absence of water is acceptable. Have you experimented with this method on a different molex connection without the PWM configuration?

There are no air bubbles. Water is present, which is acceptable. You've tested it on a different molex connection without the PWM setup before.

Another inquiry.
Have you verified the molex connector on the pump to ensure a pin hasn't shifted and isn't in contact? I've experienced this before, which is why I'm asking.

Another question. Have you inspected the molex connector on the pump to confirm no pins have shifted and aren't making contact? I've experienced this myself, which is why I'm asking. Yes, I have checked. I'm really puzzled about how this could occur. Alphacool is a trustworthy brand and highly recommended by JayzTwoCents for the Laing DDC and D5 pumps. I'm considering sending it back via RMA and ordering a replacement from Performance PC's.

Everyone highly recommends them. I have 2 DDCs, 1 D5, and none have had any issues over the past 15 years.

They are very well liked by everyone. I have two DDCs, one D5, and none of them have been problematic over 15 years.
Update: I emptied the whole loop and reinstalled the pump. When I tried to refill it, the pump started up in short bursts but still didn’t push any water.

Does the loop remain intact and secure during the process, or does the reservoir's top stay open?
