DCP Watchdog breach causes crash after adding new RAM to the computer.
Hi everyone, I just bought two 8GB RAM sticks at 3200MHz (Torfse Vulcan Z) to upgrade my PC. It’s been having lots of BSODs with the DPC_Watchdog_Violation error. I’ve run all the standard checks—chkdsk, sfc, memory tests, updated drivers for IDE, ATAPI, network, and GPU. Even after hard resetting Windows, it still crashes when trying to connect to a network during OS setup. I’m not sure if it’s a hardware or software problem and don’t know what to do next. My specs are: Ryzen 5 2400G, GTX 1660, MSI B450m Pro-m2, SK Hynix 128GB SSD (Windows 10), WD Blue 500GB mechanical HDD. Any advice or help would be super welcome. Thanks! -Kieran
