I play DayZ frequently and it randomly freezes every few minutes. It feels like the game gets stuck on a single frame, but you can still hear your character and audio. The only solution seems to be closing the game and restarting, which happens roughly every ten minutes. I've already checked the game cache and that didn't help. What's going on? Also, the GPU usage is surprisingly low—only about 40%—especially in tough city areas where performance should be higher. Is this affecting the frame rate despite the low utilization?

Use the mod or the game, but start with a lower setting since the game has issues.

Remove the appdata folder for Day Z in Windows + R, then locate the Day Z directory and delete it. You might miss a few steps, but it shouldn’t affect anything crucial.
