Day 2: No progress at all 😩
Day 2: No progress at all 😩
Yesterday my ASUS TUF Sabertooth Z170 S motherboard didn’t show up properly. It wouldn’t display with or without a GPU, and integrated graphics didn’t work through the onboard ports. I was told that if the num lock light stays off after turning on the PC, it means it’s not booting. My CPU fans spin with the case fans when powering up, but nothing appears on screen. I’ve reset the CMOS, confirmed everything is plugged in, and reinserted the CPU and GPU. I’ve tried updating to the latest BIOS using the BIOS Flashback button on the motherboard, but it flashes for a few seconds then stays solid blue. Anyone have experienced this before? The specs are: CPU I5 7600K, RAM 2x8, HyperX Fury PSU, Corsair VS650 GPU, 8GB RAM, ASUS TUF Sabertooth Z170 S.
Have you attempted to remove a memory card from the system? Are you certain the monitor functions properly? You could simply detach any components you don’t need, such as the mouse, keyboard, HDD, SSD, etc., leaving only the CPU and motherboard. This makes it simpler to identify the issue.
I should note in my initial post that I only have the CPU, one stick of RAM, and everything else unplugged except the necessary components. I've tested on two other monitors, tried hardware on two different motherboards, and they all work. However, the issue still persists on the Sabertooth.
Yeah, it's late and I'm still up. Have you checked all the usual fixes? Things like changing the screen, cable, or CPU?
Haha it must be early lol because as explained I have tried reseated many times
