Looking for information on DRM in PC games? You might find relevant details on gaming forums or official developer sites. Since you used GFWL with GTA IV, double-checking your system requirements is wise to avoid compatibility issues.

A few users manage to play GFWL, though most Windows 8 players struggle with it. Microsoft has also stated that GFWL isn't compatible with Windows 8.

It actually functions fine, though I looked it up. XLess is straightforward and won’t disrupt you anymore. It was really annoying for me, so I decided to skip it.

Sure, I'll give it a shot. So with this, you should be able to save your game without using GFWL?

I used it in Fallout 3 and GTA 4 mainly to make sure most mods work properly. If you're having installation issues, it might help to install it beforehand. I'm aware there could be some compatibility problems with GFWL and setup itself. I believe XlessLive works with any GFWL game, though I haven't tested it myself—my reasoning is that the mod for removing GFWL in Fallout 3 was also referred to as XlessLive.

It should act almost like usual, you won’t find any rewards, and I’m not sure about anything I’ve seen or heard before.
