When many devices share the same network, packet loss can occur. It may also stem from overheating problems. During my past network issues, I fixed them by placing the router on a cooling pad and attaching a case fan to the modem. This maintained stable performance until I upgraded the network significantly. A faulty Ethernet cable could be the cause—consider replacing it.
I experience packet loss throughout the day, but it increases when my parents are online and using the network. I don’t believe my Ethernet cable is faulty since I recently purchased it. It could be due to overheating, though I’m not sure—I might have placed the router near the fridge.
