Data synchronization issue encountered during the process.
Hello, I'm experiencing a problem where FH5 is stuck during data syncing. I downloaded it from the Microsoft Store, but after checking various YouTube tutorials, it still doesn't work. It was functioning before, but now it only freezes during syncing. I'm using Windows 10 and have tried launching it through the Xbox app and the Windows search bar.
You might want to examine game files or proceed with uninstalling/reinstalling. In the Xbox app, navigate to the game page, select the "..." option, choose manage, then files, verify, and repair.
The saving system in Forza Horizon 4 and 5 feels slow when using the Microsoft Store. More garage space means more saved items, which slows down syncing with the store. Originally, I could save everything in MS Store, but reinstalling took hours. Having max capacity cars and liveries made my saves even larger. The same applies to FH5 via MS Store, though it syncs faster on Steam using the cloud service. If you're relying on the MS Store version, it seems you're stuck waiting. How many cars and customizations do you currently have in your account?
It would be quicker if you downloaded it from the Xbox app instead of the Microsoft store.
FH5 has experienced some unusual startup problems for a while, including sync issues. I don't remember exactly when the sync notification appears at startup, but similar problems I've faced involve the splash screen transitioning from a larger to a smaller logo. When I double-clicked the FH5 icon on my desktop roughly 50 times (it seems not to work when launching directly in the Xbox App), it would pause for about a minute before resuming. Generally, no duplicate .exe files are consuming resources, just normal operation. About 9 out of 10 times it launches correctly after moving the file to another drive using the Xbox app. If you have extra space, consider relocating it there and trying again.
