It seems straightforward to modify the setup. Taking out the chipset and heatsinks wouldn’t be too complicated if they malfunction. I’m pretty confident the fan can be turned off so it doesn’t spin until the temperature reaches a certain point or something similar.
It really comes down to the CPU it's paired with, but it's definitely worth considering for a 5900x or 5950x. I'd stick with the dark hero board mainly for the boost switch and the absence of a chipset fan. Ultimately, it's a personal choice.
I owned a Rog x570-f Gaming paired with a Ryzen 3900X a few hours back. Due to some unexpected issues, I had to purchase a new motherboard—Dark Hero was the only choice at nearby stores. Other brands are sold out. Let go of Covid-19. For me, the investment seems justified despite the $600 cost. It appears the system is built around Zen3 CPUs, and I believe the 3900X won’t utilize Dynamic OC Switch as I understand. Adding extra temperature sensors would be helpful for my custom water cooling rig. A new VRM design would be a better upgrade than the current x570-f’s inadequate solution. BT and wireless options with plenty of USB ports are great. Some useful buttons across the board are handy for OverClockers. Perhaps I’ll experiment with LN2 cooling—stay safe!
