Hey, the Asus X570 Crosshair Hero Wi-Fi is on sale at your nearby shop, and the "dark" version is also available. Besides the absence of a chipset fan in the dark model, what other differences exist? How effective are these MB fans, and is the upgrade worth it? The hero costs around 465 USD, while the dark one is about 700 USD. Let me know if you need more details!

Not worthwhile. Liquid nitrogen might be an option for records? Possibly. Otherwise, stick with 200-250d boards.

Dynamic Overclock Switcher is exclusive to Dark Hero. It lets the CPU alternate between PBO and a manual overclock for optimal single-thread and multi-thread results. A nice feature, but it doesn’t justify the price difference. The fans are relatively quiet when reduced, making it easier to use. You might want to consider the B550 models instead, as some can outperform their X570 counterparts.

I’ll keep it quiet about the fan’s presence. It’s subtle, barely there.

MB enthusiasts have no problem. The Dark offers two key highlights: the Dynamic OC Switcher and a powerful built-in audio card. If I were to purchase, I'd choose the STRIX - E instead, as the price jump from the VIII Hero to Dark feels steep and doesn't justify much benefit.

The fan on my Crosshair VIII Impact is almost invisible, particularly when adjusted through the BIOS or AI Suite. My D5 remains louder regardless. This might be due to its mounting position.

The X570-E costs 430 USD in Norway, just a 35 USD difference. That's mainly due to import taxes. Even affordable boards can be pricey overall.

These components generally show good durability and are designed to last well beyond typical system usage periods.
