Dark Souls 3 was available during the early Steam summer promotion, but my interest only grew after playing it at my cousin's place and discovering its challenges. Recently, I wanted to purchase it, yet it no longer appears in the sale listings. Is this a temporary change or part of the current seasonal deals? I’m worried I might have missed the opportunity if I hadn’t acted sooner...

It seems you're new to the Souls series. I suggest starting with Dark Souls 1 and 2 (Scholar of The First Sin edition) before moving to Dark Souls 3. They're affordable on most online stores. DS3 won't be discounted on Steam for a while, likely during the winter sale.

Goodbye for the summer discounts. It’s just July now and Doom isn’t available either—what’s going on with these businesses? Still, I’ll probably look at the first two while I wait for the long stretch ahead.

DS3 didn't secure a significant reduction during the summer promotion; it could be cheaper at the upcoming company-wide discount. I'd suggest purchasing DS1, as DS3 often pays tribute to it. DS2 is another option, though its approach differs from DS1 and DS3.

Consider DS1 as a challenging technical issue for PCs. DS3 performs significantly better.

The Summer Sale closed on July 4, clearly listed on the storefront from day one. We’ll likely have another sale eventually, but we can’t predict the timing or discounts. Besides Steam, watch for deals on Amazon, Green Man Gaming, and the Humble Store.

g2a.com is where I usually check things out right now. You mentioned DOOM and it’s currently 35 USD, which is lower than the summer sale I remember. DS3 is priced at 44 or 68 for the deluxe version. Keep an eye around—great deals are often available. I’m just starting with PC gaming myself and until recently I believed Steam and Origin were the main options.
