Dangers of voltage
Can anyone confirm whether running the FX-6300 at 4.45 GhZ with 1.428 V every day for long periods is safe? Does this affect the CPU lifespan or something similar? My temperatures stay between 45-46 degrees on both the CPU and MOBO VRM, but when under load I drop to 1.392 V. I'm having trouble maintaining stability at 4.45 Ghz if the voltage stays below 1.416-1.428V.
It runs smoothly around 19-20 degrees at 4.45GhZ with HPC mode, and after an hour of Prime95 testing the CPU stays between 45-46 degrees while VRMs are at 42-44 degrees. The temperature seems stable, so it shouldn’t be the issue, especially since it’s consistently around 1.428V. Regarding the max speed in Task Manager, it matches what you see in other programs and BIOS—this is normal behavior.
