I'm not an expert, just a hobbyist. It seems unlikely this will function with the scratch on the board. If the warranty is still valid, you might be able to repair it, but if not, I'm not confident it's possible.
There is a guarantee, but it applies only to genuine problems with the board, not accidental harm. If I brought it back, I wouldn’t have clear information to address, because I’d be unsure how to respond. They might notice the damage instead of saying your board is fine.
