This device is primarily used for staying connected and socializing from home. During lockdowns, it played a vital role in maintaining mental well-being as many family members and close friends engaged in multiplayer games. We’d often just gather on the start screen to chat. Although it was taken, the laptop loss was significant for me. The X230 I lost was quite impressive, while my replacement was a noticeable step down from what I had before. It’s the only laptop I’ve ever bought to upgrade, and it fell short of expectations. Thank you!

I've relied solely on Linux Mint for nearly ten years. The other participant has been using it since 2018 when Microsoft performed what might seem like a virus removal but was actually an update. I've also configured more than 40 additional users who will only run Linux. Every installation uses Linux Mint Cinnamon and one older machine with MATE.

My family has been relying on Manjaro for nearly a year without noticing. It's mainly for watching content, handling office or school tasks, printing, and meeting via Zoom. I installed it after upgrading to an SSD. I added the Windows logo to the start menu and use a window-like splash screen.

I currently run Fedora. I’ve been dual booting Windows 10 and Ubuntu, planning to eventually remove the Windows partition. With the launch of Windows 11, I felt it was wise to transition early and adopt Linux as my main system, avoiding any ties to Windows 11. I faced some driver problems with Ubuntu, so I switched to Pop_OS, which I really liked. My move to Fedora was mostly impulsive; I wanted to experience vanilla GNOME. While it’s often considered overrated, a few extensions and changes like replacing GDM with LightDM (and Light Locker) helped me find something I enjoy.
