Hello All!
I'm currently exploring some options before investing in my first watercooling setup. I know there are many experienced folks out there, so feel free to share your thoughts and ideas on my concept.
Suggestion:
Res/Pump Top: Koolance Pump Fitting & Reservoir Base
Pump: Koolance or EKWB D5 Pump
Upgrade: Bitspower D5 Mod Kit (Black Sparkle)
I appreciate the style of the Koolance pump/res top and the Black Sparkle pump modification, as it matches my overall build vibe. However, I'm a bit worried about whether these pumps would actually work with the mod setup.

Can you link to these? Wondering if you don't have a duplication of components at all. I don't know what the Mod kit contains.
The Koolance or EK D5 should be essentially the same pump depending on whether they are rated at the same wattage and have speed control or fixed speed.

It seems like these items might be unnecessary, making it unclear if they should be combined.

This was also my worry. I saw this information for setting up the Bitspower Mod Kit:
I’m not very familiar with the pump and pump tops since I’m just starting out with watercooling. Would it be possible to swap the top covers between the D5 pumps that are offered?

I'm not completely confident about FrozenCPU's status. A brief check reveals their waterblock lineup ends at the Nvidia 980/970 series, and the 10 series has been unavailable for a while... this raises some concerns for me. Pump tops are suitable for any D5, provided they don't need a specialized body.

I see your point. I just created the installation guide for the Mod Kit from their website to better understand how to assemble this project. If so, I can develop an alternative plan B to match the desired appearance. Is there another pump or top design that could complement the Bitspower Pump Mod Kit?

Just reviewed that option for my potential plan B. While I’d like a pump/res combo for a more streamlined appearance, I’m flexible enough to adapt to my original vision.
