Hi all, a two parter this. So I’ve got a b450 mortar max as recommended by a few people on different forums, tried to load 4x4 sticks of 3200 MHz ram and was met with nothing but crashes and unstableness. Any ideas? and the second part and the whole reason for the upgrade was the ensure I could run cyber punk 2077, currently got an rtx 2060 and a ryzen 2600. What do you think? any help on any of the topics mentioned would be great!

The 2x8GB storage could be better, can you return the RAM or sell it quickly to receive your refund?

Apologies for the mistake! I initially had 2 by 8 but purchased an additional 2 by 8 kit, resulting in a total of 32.

certain motherboards struggle with high-speed slots when using 2600 and 3200 MHz RAM. i adjust my 3200 to 3000 for better stability.

2000 series model struggles with 4 sticks at 3200 MHz; works fine at 2667. Adjust BIOS settings, turn on XMP profile, then set RAM speed to 2667 MHz with 1.35V and 1.1V SOC voltages.

It's surprising to learn that! Running it at that setting should work fine. 2 by 8 3200 seems manageable and quite stable.

Two slots work better with the Ryzen 2nd generation. Avoid buying RAM right away—this game depends more on your VRAM than your RAM. Try it out first.

You don’t require 32 GB of RAM for most tasks, especially not for gaming. A 16 GB with a 3200 MHz clock speed is preferable over 32 GB at 2667 MHz.
