Hi,
I'm trying to overclock my 8600k and this is my first attempt, so I have no prior experience. I want to know if a Corsair CX600m can push this CPU up to 5 GHz. My system specs are: I5 8600k, Gigabyte z370 ultra gaming wifi, Dark Rock Pro 4, GTX 1060 6gb, GT 520 (as a VGA adapter), two 8gb DDR4 2666 mhz modules, 250gb Samsung 850 EVO, two 2tb Seagate Barracuda drives, and four 120mm fans plus two 140mm fans. On Outervision it says the PSU should be 500w, but is the CX600m capable of reaching 5 GHz or even 4.5 GHz performance? Also, what voltage should I use? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't do that. The old model (there are also new ones called CXM, but they have white labels instead of your green label) was seen as low quality. Although it provides sufficient wattage for your system, attempting to overclock it is risky.

DRagor :
I wouldn't go that route. The older PSU model (and newer ones like CXM) was seen as low quality, even though it had enough wattage. Pushing it to overclock would be risky.

It varies based on your budget preferences. Top options include Seasonic Focus Plus Gold and Corsair RMx. The CX650M is at the lower range but still adequate if you can't find something superior.

It depends on your budget. The top options are Seasonic Focus Plus Gold and Corsair RMx. CX650M is at the lower side, but it should work if you can't find something better.
Thanks again.
