I wouldn't worry about the updates breaking; it seems you have to revert to the original version until the new one is ready.

Hey team, the Metro UI for Steam is installed and functioning properly. If an update causes issues, I won’t reinstall it. It’s working fine right now.

I've been using Metro for Steam and so far no updates have caused any issues. It doesn't feel like you need to install a new version to resolve problems.

I haven't used them in a while—I just remember receiving a Steam update. The regular team looked the same, but all the skins were broken. I didn’t want to bother searching for them again since it’s unclear if they got any updates.

I used Metro for Steam from January 2014 and everything worked well. Without this discussion, I probably wouldn’t have updated it today, though it likely wouldn’t have changed much.
