Hello,
I recently assembled my first mini ITX computer and found it quite a rewarding experience. I aim to enhance its capabilities by better integrating the audio system. I have this set of vintage Apple Pro speakers that deliver excellent sound and I’m considering modifying them to connect directly to the PC. These are spherical, transparent speakers, quite distinctive.

I discovered a method on a website to bypass the custom Apple power/input jack:
Apple Pro Speakers - can we fix them? - The Laser Hive

In 2015 Macworld Magazine praised these speakers as “the best ‘Apple’ ever made.” The Apple Pro ‘eyeball’ speakers were launched alongside the Digital Audio Power Mac G4 and typically came with the iMac G4 – also known as the Sunflower or Lampshade iMac. Their design matched that of...

The website indicates these speakers are now connected to an audio amplifier output. Currently, I’m using a Bluetooth amplifier (link provided) to drive them:

This board supplies both signal and power, adjusting for the speakers’ voltage needs. However, it requires four speaker cables and an external power source. My aim is to integrate a suitable component inside my mini ITX build—perhaps an audio card that allows speaker cables to be connected and powers the passive speakers directly.

I’ve searched online but haven’t found a clear solution. Your guidance would be invaluable!

I checked the text and images but didn't find a speaker power amp inside the card. You might want to consider an external amplifier.
