hi, i got a msi gt72 6qd dominator g for a while and im just wondering if theres a way go get a custom bios for overclocking the cpu. etc.. ?
My pc specs:
CPU: Intel i7 6700HQ
GPU: Nvidia gtx 970m, GPU2: Intel hd350
Ram: 16GB DDR4

You'd better not, since laptops are already struggling with heat. Pushing them further would be risky.

You wouldn't want to if you could. Laptops already face cooling challenges without overclocking. Pushing them further would cause issues.
The cooling system isn't a concern at all. I experienced this with my old MSI laptop, but the new one has a much better setup.
I even managed to overclock my GPU on this model. When I play games at maximum settings, my GPU reaches 65-80°C and my CPU around 40-50°C.
I believe cooling won't be a problem.
