Curve of stick sensitivity (star citizen)
Curve of stick sensitivity (star citizen)
I'm working to improve my skills and aim for full fixed weapons, but I'm adjusting the curve settings to get better results. My aiming isn't great with the stick, and I often struggle with targeting smaller ships. Do you have any advice or tips?
I'm still on m+kb but depending on my experiences with a fully gimballed Super Hornet this is what my targeting list looks like: Gladiator -> Hornet -> Cutlass -> Avenger -> Aurora -> 325a -> 300i -> Gladius -> 315p -> Mustang ->350r -> M50 -> Merlin This of course changes depending on the pilot but anything below the Gladius gets ignored until one of these get too annoying, because it just takes too long to get rid of them
It's good to hear you're learning from me. I mainly stick with KB+M since I don't have much experience with other setups. I've only used a Logitech Extreme 3D a few times, but after getting frustrated, I switched to my mouse. I prefer playing without gimbals, even though I've tried gimballed setups on the 325A—it's really annoying for me.
You're taking on a really tough project—going for a fully panthered cutlass could be risky, but it sounds like you're going all in for the challenge.
I utilize two sensitivity profiles. The first is for my Hornet; it may seem rough but it’s proven most effective after a year of testing. The second runs slower and more smoothly, suited for quicker and agile vessels.
If you haven’t worked with custom XML maps before, the guide in the discussion provides clear steps, plus more details elsewhere: https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.co...mapping/p1
Also note that since the latest update, the file location is now .\StarCitizen\Public\USER\Controls\Mappings. When using the console command “pp_rebindkeys,” append a space followed by the XML filename you’re running. Only the filename should be shown, not the extension.
